๐ How I Maintain Strong Relationships
If you want to live a long, fulfilling life of happiness, then relationships, human connection, and community are key.
The key to great relationships is consistent if not frequent, communication.
Preferably, that includes a regular amount of face time or... FaceTime.
Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs (and people in general) struggle to maintain strong relationships due to their hectic schedules.
This has also been a challenge for me, as I never had a real model for starting, building, and maintaining strong relationships.
Creating a simple system has helped. Personally and professionally.
Your relationships will give you the energy you need when you need it most.
Integrating your relationships into your routine allows you to stay connected with your people no matter how chaotic business gets.
HEREโS HOW:
Step 1: Schedule a chat
Setting regular check-ins ensures you donโt lose touch with those who matter most.
Don't overthink this. Scheduling communication with friends and family may feel weird, but it's not.
People get busy, and it's easier to have time, when you make time.
Use a calendar app to schedule weekly or bi-weekly calls with family and friends and set reminders. Consistency in communication shows that you care about and value these relationships.
Step 2: Prioritize face time
Texts and DMs are great and convenient, but nothing beats seeing your people.
Apps like FaceTime, WhatsApp, and Zoom simplify video chatting with family and friends.
I've said it before; dogs sniff butts, and humans look at faces. It's science.
If you can meet for coffee, brunch, happy hour, or, better yet, a walk, do that instead. While less efficient, in-person is by far the best way to strengthen relationships.
Step 3: Share the little stuff
In between get-togethers, share the little stuff to keep your connections strong.
Historically speaking, I fucking suck at this. I've had to work hard this year to improve at communicating more often, even if it's little things.
If you think of someone you haven't seen or spoken to in a while, message them now. I always think I'll text them "later today, " which never happens. Life takes over. Do it now.
In case youโre thinking it, you aren't bothering anyone.
Youโre thinking of them and including them.
It's a gift. Share it.
ONWARD TOGETHER.

What Iโm reading, watching, and studying
It turns out it was a big Alex Hormozi week for me. LOL.
I havenโt consumed much of his content lately (aside from his latest book), but a couple of pieces really jumped out this week and provided a lot of value.
Non-Fiction Book: Iโm 48% through $100 Leads By Alex Hormozi. I love how he systematically walks through, as he calls it, โHow to Get Strangers to Want to Buy Your Stuff.โ Itโs highly actionable. One of my biggest ahas has been the thoughtful order of lead generation strategies and why anyone starting a business should master one at a time in a particular order. When I started my real estate business ten years ago, I learned so many ways to generate business, but little clarity on the best progression of strategies.
YouTube: I watched I Posted ONLY Business Content for 30 Days [STRATEGY REVEALED] by Alex Hormozi. It was interesting to hear his breakdown of a content hypothesis he came up with, his execution of it, and the results. The best part was that it was from a month ago so it is a super timely insight.
Podcast: Yesterday, I listened to Episode 719, Youโre Not Behind: My System for Outlearning Everyone on The Game w/Alex Hormozi. Alex explores where most people go wrong when learning new skills and how to have the right mindset for learning to get the most out of courses and training.
